The open concept kitchen / family room opens out to the spacious patio and level, fenced backyard, ideal for entertaining or play. The kitchen features dual ovens, built-in microwave, a gas cooktop, lots of counter and cabinet space and hardwood floors. The adjoining family room features a second fireplace.
The fenced, level backyard offers views and privacy, and features a spacious entertaining patio shaded by a custom-built trellis and a large lawn area perfect for entertaining or play.
The home’s upper level features a spacious primary suite, a laundry room and two additional bedrooms that share a bathroom with tub. The primary suite has a very large walk-in closet, an adjoining spa-like bathroom with a dual sink vanity, jetted soaking tub and separate shower, and looks to the west for gorgeous sunset views over the Marin hills.
Mont Marin is a lovely neighborhood in San Rafael, just north of Terra Linda and south of Marinwood. Featuring wide streets with sidewalks and proximity to open space, this family-friendly neighborhood is home to the award-winning Miller Creek School District. It has a strong neighborhood association which organizes both social activities and neighborhood advocacy.
San Rafael is Marin’s oldest and largest city, with a population of close to 60,000 people. Established in 1874, it is the seat of the County of Marin and is home to Marin’s second most popular tourist destination (after Muir Woods), the Frank Lloyd Wright Civic Center. The building was the last major structure and the only government building designed by the world famous architect. It is now a national historic landmark and hosts one of the country’s best farmers markets each Thursday (seasonal, downtown) and Sunday (year-round).
Named after the Mission San Rafael Archangel, built by Spanish missionaries in 1817, San Rafael is located 11 miles north of San Francisco. The area enjoys some of the best weather in Marin as it is largely free of the coastal fog that areas closer to San Francisco experience. At the city’s heart is its charming, vibrant downtown shopping district which is a mixture of Victorian commercial buildings, ethnic restaurants, street cafes, retail stores, a historic movie theater and numerous music venues, giving San Rafael its hometown flavor.
