The neighborhood is anchored by the beautiful Gerstle Park, former site of an estate owned by Lewis and Hannah Gerstle at the turn of the century. The family-friendly neighborhood has a very active neighborhood association which hosts a number of events during the year and has even produced a video of the neighborhood and its residents.

Residents can walk to the restaurants and services of downtown San Rafael which borders the neighborhood.
